Vita Gwen –
Disliked that Dr. King was portrayed as wimpy,,,which he was not. His strongest traits were not established.
The Lion and The Bee –
Another example how a capable, intelligent, virtuous woman can change and affect the course of history and others lives.

Love and enjoy the video of history of we our unable to go back in history to capture our roots and history then we our unable to capture our history and seek going forward in history of seeking our true selves.

Great for education on Civil Rights, but this is more personal. Betty, Malcom’s wife and of course we all know Correttas name. I paid such attention to the Marches, wishing I could be there with them. I had such love and respect for Martin Luther King. Medger Evers broke my heart in his assasination, as well as the three boys that died trying to help them receive their God given right to vote. I was shocked to learn that Malcom was Muslim, (but turned from violence). He was a faithful husband and wonderful father. I was so sad to learn that Martin was unfaithful, but I know all he had to do was truly repent and he was forgiven. The surprise for me was Louis Farrakan had him Malcom killed. That has never been proven, but I am sure he did, as well as Betty, most likely because he turned from violence and the Panthers. I love history! Mary Blige and Angela Basset were outstanding. The movie is great, covering decades, yet I wish it had been longer.

Although I know this was a docudrama. I had no idea that these two women shared a friendship that lasted until Betty Shabazz’s untimely death.

I didn’t realize that Betty and Corretta had that close of a relationship. Nice movie.

This was a most dignified, uplifting realistic portrayal of 2 women who stood for something. Both actresses did an excellent job acting. Surprisingly Mary J. Blige was quite believable and engaging. Angela Bassett was EXCEPTIONAL, as expected, of course. This was a great movie! Must watch the seldom seen quiet support of the backbones of our “heroes”.
