I have been using this toothpaste for years and a few months ago I purchased another brand at a great price but though my teeth were clean there was a difference. My mouth/teeth feels noticeably cleaner now that I have switched back to Total toothpaste. My breath is fresher which is an added bonus when you are the battle against cavities and gingivitis.Yeah, HIGHLY recommend this toothpaste.

Ok so after going Fluoride free for many years my teeth were suffering. My best friend is a dentist and I asked him which toothpaste he recommended. He said Colgate Total because it has everything a toothpaste should have. My teeth feel very clean and I’m happy! I wish I didn’t need to use fluoride since I have a thyroid problem however a clean healthy mouth is ultimately extremely important!

Colgate Total SF Clean Mint is the best toothpaste I’ve ever used. The Stannous Fluoride is incredible. It’s far superior to Sodium Fluoride because it does so much more for your teeth and mouth. I can clearly tell that this toothpaste reduces sensitivity, reduces plaque build up, whitens my teeth and leaves my mouth feeling cleaner throughout the day.I’m extremely happy that Colgate switched to the new SF formula. It’s 1000 times better than the old formula with Triclosan, which is a proven cancer causing agent.This is my family’s new household toothpaste and it will remain that way as long as Colgate maintains the new formula with SF and also the Hydrated Silica to help with whitening.

I wish the tubes were tamper proof because mine were sent in an envelope and the package was squished so when I got my toothbrush ready and finally got the really tough to open package opened, pulled out both tubes and lifted the cap off of one, the toothpaste went flying out of the tube. Thankfully, it was directed away from me and my reflexes were good, so I caught the first inch of toothpaste on my toothbrush. I brushed my teeth and it was more foamy an experience than I recall from tooth brushing. Ever. I’ve brushed my teeth thousands and thousands of times and this was the most bubbly in a good way. The tube is labeled as, “New Taste.” ok, it’s new but I don’t know what that is. I like it and continue using it but I don’t use the recommended inch since that’s not truly necessary to clean my teeth, tongue and cheeks.

Also, the whitening doesn’t cause as much sensitivity as Crest, my dentist said it’s because Crest’s whiteners are more abrasive than Colgates.

Triclosan/copolymer has been shown in studies to work better than flouride alone. This toothpaste also has stannous fluoride instead of the more common sodium fluoride. The stannous fluoride has added antimicrobial properties that sodium fluoride does not, and is be better for sensitive teeth, but has a noticeably worse aftertaste.
