Low growing Marigolds are quick to bloom and quick to attract pollinators during the entire flowering season; however, they do not attract deer!
These heirloom, non-gmo seeds are quick to germinate when seeds are kept continually moist in full sun. These flowers are a natural pest deterrent and can enhance the growth of other plants.
Sow 2 to 3 seeds per plant or 5 ounces per 1,000 square feet

I now try to order all my plant seeds from Outsidepride. I reside in the mountains and have rocky soil. I had a planting bed installed in early June 2020 on a slight slope, with virgin soil brought in, to be utilized with flower seeds. I have knee osteoarthritis, and have been working remotely from home since mid March 2020 due to Covid-19. The bed is currently filled with perennials and re-seeding annuals. I’ve made purchases from other suppliers via Amazon and other entities, some of which you do not get your money’s worth. My bed is lush with Marigolds, Four O’clocks and other colorful deer resistant flowers and greenery.

I’m new to gardening and I wouldn’t call these “dwarf” (they’re about a foot tall), but they are amazing! I started some indoors in starter cells and then transplanted and then also direct sowed a bunch. I didn’t see a huge difference in germination rate, and they all grew to be very lush with super beautiful green foliage. It took them a good two months to really start producing flowers, but once the flowers came in there were tons of flowers. I did notice that the flowers I grew in the ground versus the ones I put in planters produced a lot more green foliage. The ones inside the planters are much more petite and less bushy. The ones in the planters also used a standard miracle grow potting mix, while the ones in the ground had compost and native soil. I imagine my native soil was heavy in nitrogen and that may have caused the bushiness. Either way, I will definitely plant these again. Huge bargain and produces a lot!

I bought these marigold seeds in May 2020 as an accompaniment since I was growing Tomatoes for the 1st time this summer. They attracted many beneficial pollinators to my yard & my tomatoes produced very well. The Marigolds became the star of my back yard. I watered them in the beginning & after they were established I let nature take over & I’ve been smiling everyday since. The different color flowers are very beautiful.I just harvested them 10/10/20 & I made marigold tea with the fresh petals, which was delicious with raw honey. No bitter taste.I’m drying the flowers on lowest heat in the oven now to be used when making marigold oil with Extra Virgin Olive Oil as the carrier oil. I’ll also make a hair rinse & potpourri sachets for the holidays to share with my friends & family.Very happy with this purchase.

Wow I had no idea how many seeds would be in a 1/4 pound bag — there must be thousands! I’ve only planted a few so far. I purchased these to control pests in my garden I used marigolds last year and they work. The idea is that the colors of the marigolds attract the pests and keep them off your vegetables. I first started some indoors and I’m pretty sure every seed I planted has sprouted . I also have some growing in a raised garden bed outside and those seem to all have sprouted too. There are so many I want to find a location to scatter a bunch of these seeds. These are pretty much guaranteed to grow as far as I’m concerned and for the price compared to what you would pay for an established plant in a six pack is a great deal . This picture is of the seeds I started indoors.

These seeds are awesome! I put together my raised bed with cinder blocks we had laying around. Filled each “hole” with soil, then put 3-5 seeds in each one. The picture is about 2 weeks in with me watering it once a day in the evening (at zone 8). Every single hole has at least one sprout coming out! This is such a motivator as these are the very first marigolds we planted. My daughters are so excited that we are randomly poking holes in our garden to plant them.

If you want LOTS of butterflies in or around your garden and want the value of marigolds discourging bugs, I highly recommend these seed. The marigolds are gorgeous and plentiful even into fall when the garden is wintering down (okra, beans, tomatoes) I HATE to see winter destroy my marigolds that remind me of my mom and her flowers.

Planted a very dense row of these seeds back in mid-April. They have now grown in to lush, thick and vibrant flowers. They’re actually quite tall (near 24″). They are a lovely mixture of reds, yellows and golds. Very happy customer.

In memory of my late father, my mom and I wanted to plant some yellow and orangey kind of flowers, and my dad always liked marigolds. We’ve never bought seeds online, but I followed the instructions of keeping them in a moist place before we could plant them (it’s been a bit too cold until recently to be planting them), and a week after we got them and following the procedures, they started germinating! It was just about the right temperature and since it’ll finally be getting to the right temperature for them now, we planted them!A lot of them germinated with big roots, and others with little sprouts popping out, and some not growing yet. But out of 1000, it makes sense you’re gonna get some duds. But overall with my catch, we got a whole bunch! We’re gonna have a bunch of beautiful marigolds this year!

These seeds are Amazing, I purchased seeds 2 years ago and the flowers still come back every year. These flowers are low maintenance, they are easy to grow.

These marigolds are gorgeous, much more unusual than the typical yellow and orange dwarf marigold; they have red, orange, and yellow hues on every flower. They are very low maintenance—they supported being too dry and too wet without ever stopping producing—and grow easily in both pots and raised beds. I first planted seeds in seedling packs in the spring, which worked well, but then decided to try and plant some directly in various pots, which worked just as well, and will be what I do next year. I’ve been regularly deadheading and cutting flowers to put in small vases and to dehydrate, which has kept the plants very healthy and producing abundantly.
