Nutritional dry food that my dog loves! Varied ingredients providing a balanced healthy diet. Purchased 40-pound bag that contains a massive amount of food as the bits are smaller in size. For my shipment, only drawback was that Amazon did not deliver this HEAVY bag (feels much heavier than 40lbs). Shipment was delivered to the Postal Service and they would not bring this heavy bulky box to me. Was required to drive 15 miles to my servicing post office to pick it up. Not the end of the world, but would have preferred Amazon to have delivered it directly to my residence. Recommend dog food though!

My dog LOVES this dog food! I tried this food out in the hopes of finding a cheaper solution for my dog’s diet. This was the first dog food that my dog happily ate without wet food added. Believe me I have tried high value dog food that promise great benefits to unhealthy snack like dog food like kibbles ‘n bits, but this is the only dog food that he eats without hesitation. He is also the healthiest I have ever seen him. Full of energy and very attentive.

I’m very picky about what I give my dogs, but since I have six I cannot afford a non commercial dog food. This is a great commercial dog food for a reasonable price…. the first ingredient being chicken meal or lamb meal- no it’s not pure meat, but it’s a whole lot better than ground up corn or any other grain. My older dogs having gone in for full blood panels and having eaten this food their entire lives always came out super super healthy for liver function, kidney function, all that kind of thing, so I can only assume that this is a good product.

After discussing our Lab’s gas with our vet, we changed from the more expensive dry dog food to Purina one, Chicken and rice. She’s not gas free, but it’s not nearly as frequent, obnoxious or as long lasting. We ordered the Lamb and rice once to save a couple of dollars. We won’t do that again. Her gas came back. Not as bad as before Purina One but big difference from Chicken to lamb. We’re sticking with Purina One Chicken and Rice. Not just for the gas but also as our Veterinarian recommended it. All 3 of our large dogs love it too

Our 10 year old lab has decided that she no longer likes the food she’s eaten for years. We’ve been on taste-test mode for a while. Bear likes to pick the ‘bits’ out of this and pretend there is no food in her bowl (a lot like my brother would pick the marshmallow bits out of the Lucky Charms). However annoying this game is, she WILL eat the rest of her food.

Our dogs love this stuff. It is healthy and it helped control our Lab’s gas issue. This is all we feed our dogs now. It’s also $5 less expensive than any local retailers, including Wal-Mart. I order it and 2 days later it shows up on m doorstep in perfect condition. I’ve told friends and neighbors and they have all started ordering it through Amazon Prime too. Saves me money and time/labor. It’s pretty much a no-brainerI order this every 3 weeks and it’s always great. Much better price than I can find anywhere else. I just wish I could get on Prime Pantry for every 3 weeks. The least frequent is 1 month and that just won’t work

I have been feeding Charlie this food for 2 years. I have read reviews about bugs and moths in the bag but I have never had that problem. I have a large plastic container that I pour the foot into and tight seal. There are smaller pieces of food along with bigger chunks that I take out and put in a treat bowl so many of his treats during the day are actually part of his measured meal. Covid weight watching for all of us! Sometimes the bigger pieces are nice and big and sometimes not so much. He loves it I assume because he gets so excited to eat it and to eat the treats.

I’m guessing it tastes great, my picky lil 14 month old Lab mix, will only eat Purina One Smart Blend Chicken and Lamb and Rice! He’s as healthy as can be and the vet had pleased with “his” choice of food. I gave the same to my Lab, who was 14 1/2 years old….we rescued her when she was 6 months old….but she went to The Bridge last June 23, 2020, I fed her this Brand for more years than I can remember, and she was killed, but was as healthy as a young pup…per her Vet 🙁 she thrived on the brand, I will continue to buy. I also get the same in the canned and mix with the dry kibble…just because I like to spoil my baby 😉 Also a top dog food at a great price!

We have 3 dogs. A Chihuahua ,a Morkie and a Cocker Spaniel. We have cooked for them instead of buying dog food for years. One was highly recommended by a lady we met.Wow even our little picky Morkie cleaned her bowl.I am buying it again and will continue to do so.Our two little dogs will pick out the freeze dried chicken first then they gobble up the rest.I am so pleased because this has relieved us from all the cooking and still gives them what they need.We started cooking chicken quarters because I was afraid of packaged dog foods. But I learned that our dogs might not be getting nutrients they needed. Our dogs were healthy but being in our 70’s switching over made it easier on us especially when we travel.I am sure you will be pleased with this choice.

We previously fed our dogs a much more expensive grain-free dog food, but in light of recent research which has linked high doses of peas and other legumes with heart disease in dogs (specifically, Dilated Cardiomyopathy), we checked the labels on our “high end” dog food and found peas and potatoes were some of the first ingredients. We spent quite a while studying the ingredients in many, many other dog foods and found that most of them either had high volumes of either peas or potatoes. Some had huge amounts of corn as filler and still others contained the generic ingredient “bone meal” with no mention of the bone meal’s source (ie: chicken, beef, etc). This, we learned to our horror, can mean the food is made with rendered domestic pets, diseased animals, etc. It was not easy to find a food that wasn’t loaded with corn and/or legumes or wasn’t made with that generic, non specific “bone meal”. We found two dog foods that met our criteria: Purina One Smartblend Natural Formula and Dick Van Patten’s Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Diet Lamb Meal and Brown Rice. We routinely feed our dogs one or the other of these two foods and sometimes mix them for variety. Since we’ve switched, our dogs still have the same energy level, still have shiny healthy coats, are still maintaining a healthy weight and they really like both of these varieties of foods. It seems to be a win-win. We feel more comfortable with this food choice for our dogs and our dogs are very happy with the taste.
