  1. Charlie in Austin

We had a suitcase like this for several years (probably 250,000 air miles) and were thrilled when we found the same one still available. The 25 inch size is larger than carry-on, but two of us can travel for over a week in this one suitcase. There are larger suitcases available, but bulky enough that I only recommend them if you are bringing the kitchen sink.

We traveled all over the world for 110 days last year. Japan, Australia, New Zealand, multiple places in Europe and US…. This was my suitcase. I have had many medium sized suitcases that were $100 or above in price. Many did not survive the first trip on the airplane. Dragging a moderately priced American Tourister through the Beijing airport is not fun, when the wheels are gone. This suitcase was $39.00. I reinforce it with 2 really ugly luggage straps from Target. (The uglier the straps, the easier it is to find your suitcase on the airport carousel. My favorite luggage strap is neon orange plaid…) The wheels and handle survived. After about 15 months, I just got another one. Not that it was so worn out, but the material got ragged. That is real value. Highly recommended.

Giving this product 5 stars.Pros if it: -good size for quality- well made- came with lock-has great depth space (deep) for more room- looks nice- can hold quite a bit- suit case is lightCons: -the lock is the cheapest quality and not worth even putting on your case. my 2 year old could probably get past it if he wanted to!- it’s not super high quality pretty fast, it’ll wear out of you use it all the time. But again, for the price it’s not bad.

Please help. First off The larger luggage net pocket has rips in it and I DID NOT RECEIVE the smaller luggage. What to doThis is an update, I originally rated a one star due to not receiving full order and the ripped interior of luggage. I rated, asked for a replacement and within 5 min. I heard they immediately shipped out the replacement and I did receive my two piece replacement within two days and in great condition. I really love this set, well worth the money and the measurements are exactly what I need for my Spirit flight. Thank you for your speedy replacement.

Good value for a good price. As an Airline pilot, I have extensive experience with my and other peoples luggage. While I require a different grade of suitcase for the hundred or more flights I make each year, this suitcase has incorporated the features that are most important: strong zippers, edge protection, strong handles, good quality in line wheels (not casters) with reinforced wheel support and attachments and a good grade extending handle. My tips for any suitcase:If you want your suitcase to follow you, get inline wheels. Casters are trendy but the go where they want.Never, not even once, even in a hurry, pick your suitcase up by the extended handle. Reach behind with one hand and lift with the fixed hand grip. Otherwise, the handle will eventually bend or come out.Make sure you take care to retract the handle using the button yourself BEFORE you give the suitcase to whoever will be loading it. Other wise they will likely try to push it down, past the locking prong, and bend the handle or wear the lock, or try to lift it by the handle. No one will treat your luggage better than you will.

I got this case for a year of mission in Ireland. We were constantly in and out of houses–rarely stayed longer than 2 nights in the same place, which means it was always being repacked, carried up and down stairs, dragged across a driveway–oftentimes through rain, and thrown (sometimes not very kindly) into the back of a van with 8 other cases. The lightest amount of weight it ever had was probably 45lbs. Easily got 60 lbs in there. No zippers busted. I had to use the expansion zipper only once. You can see the mesh on the inside pocket is torn–THIS WAS COMPLETELY MY FAULT. I had acquired pins that I decorated the inside of my bag for, and sharp pins don’t do well with mesh. Who knew!I was really concerned throughout the year with the handle on the side of the bag. (the picture for this didn’t upload) It was showing signs of distress throughout the year–side of the case bowing outward, etc. But it held up the entire time with little tearing of the handle! The outside of the bag held up really well–only a few minor tears/rubs on the canvas material. The bottom was a little scuffed up–again, it didn’t go through the best terrain. My only concern at the moment are the wheels. They bow out a little bit with added weight (understandably). Otherwise, it’s still looking and working GREAT. This case lasted a year on the road for me and is still 100% usable!!If you’re looking for a reliable, long lasting, strong suitcase, I would strongly recommend this one!

I bought this thing for a trip to Europe. I spent 6 weeks traveling around Germany and Italy and had this with me most of the time. I normally take less stuff than this but we were visiting relatives and had to carry a lot of gifts to Europe, and then the relatives gave us stuff and I had to bring all of that stuff back. The point is that I had this bag filled with really heavy stuff, and drug it around on European trains and then checked to home. It carried a lot of stuff, and offered no problems at all. The zippers continued to work, the wheels continued to roll, the handles stayed on, it was just great. And the cost was low.My thought at the time was that if it survived this one trip, it would have been worth the cost, but it came home completely intact and is ready to go again. What more could anyone ask?Great bag and a great price.

I got it on a deal of the day. The luggage is higher quality than one would expect at that price. I like the design of the pockets, and I like the design of the colors, and the material feels good, and the rollbar/wheels feel constructed well enough. I will update the review after travelling with them.Update 02/24/18- I travelled cross country with these and then I flew overseas with them too. Now I am still using them in my storage unit. They have held up and have not torn. I am not rough with them and expect them to last awhile. They are worthy of another flight. I only wish they were bigger to hold more.Update 08/28/2018 3 months or so ago they molded in my storage unit in Kea’au Hawaii (a moist environment so I chucked ’em out.

I’m giving it a 5 stars because of the quality:price ratio. Some of thing things I like about it others may not.1. This is not a “spinner” suitcase, but rather has only 2 wheels and can only be pulled one way. I actually do prefer that, although I have both.2. It has a strap on the top for attaching other bags. This is helpful to me, because when I travel with family I sometimes chain 2 or 3 suitcases together. The strap is very helpful.Other than that … I took it on a trip to Europe, and pulled it down rough streets/loaded it onto trains/put it on several flights/and it handled it all just great. I generally invest a bit more in a suitcase but in this instance I needed a budget option, and now that I have this suitcase it will be my regular go to until it fails. And so far it seems excellent, particularly for the price.

Just pleased as punch with this set, and the price I paid. Allegiant has pretty strict sizing and this offered me a personal under seat item and carry-on that made the most of the odd sizing allowed. I was worried from reviews it would feel like my nephew’s overnight suitcases when they go to visit grandma, but no, despite being light, this is a perfectly adult-sized set for someone that is looking to travel light. What I’m happy about, is it is a better set in person. Will it hold up? We shall see, but after spending bukoos of cash on an “expensive” carry-on for my significant other that came back shredded after his first flight (non-checked) I swore I was never going to do that again. I was mortified. This looks to be durable however, and there were small touches that just thrilled me. For example, the pockets on the tote and the suitcase zip all the way down the sides so they open widely, but their is a generous liner sleeve sewn in to keep items from falling out. They aren’t shallow either and have room up and down and on the sides about an inch so you have plenty of room. There’s a little tag pocket on the back and the color I chose–the grey/black–looks pretty stylish, and the little brand tags do as well. I really appreciate the shoe style pockets on lid and the additional mesh. A woman with flats/flip flops could easily fit two pair, but a man would probably need to put a shoe in each pocket. The interior is light colored and neutral. The extra bag flap looks well sewn in and I think with some velcro strapping, it and tote strap can be easily tied up neatly (that was my only complaint – those things flap about a bit when not in use.) That extra bag strap will make a nice way to tie on a travel pillow or coat/scarf however.I paired this with these packing cubes

FINNKARE 6 Set Packing Cubes with Shoe Bag Travel Luggage Organizers Lightweight Travel Cube Set Compression Pouches System for Carry-on Luggage Rose Red

but be aware you won’t be able to use all the pieces – I used the large one as an extra organizer in my closet. My 13-in Macbook Air, in a neoprene style zippered sleeve fits in the tote and if I was inclined to bring my iPad 2 it would fit in the larger outside pocket of the suitcase easily, and my 3-1-1 bag in the top one. The tote pocket is also designed the same as the suitcase, so it also is roomy and should be perfect for slipping in a clutch wallet, and those things I want easy access to – glasses case, phone, etc.I haven’t packed it full yet. The tote bag is slightly wider from end to end than the suitcase – maybe by an inch but doesn’t look awkward. I don’t know if it would tip – the set doesn’t sit leaning back on it’s footrest, so there is that potential. I didn’t see a lot of complaints about that in the reviews so have my fingers crossed with appropriate packing it will be fine. The pull out handle has two stops. We’ll see how the handle holds up to repeated use – I do suspect with more expensive sets you’ll feel a smoother motion. I actually bought this set because again, my now-disposed-of-more-mid-range set failed too soon in that department. This one at least offers a zippered lining to access that if I need to doctor it.I would say if you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate to try the set. Although all things are relative, it doesn’t present, or feel tangibly as any cheaper than the ones at the 2x-3x more expensive price point, and has been well thought out in terms of function. And, I figure unlike the last purchases, when it does fail, I won’t feel like such a schmuck for wasting money!
