It looks beautiful in my pottery studio window. The instructions state to use soapy water, but it left tiny bubbles under the film even using a squeegee. I will need to reapply it only using water on the window.

This is the first time we applied window privacy film to the window. Would like to share some tips we learned from our mistakes.1. Be sure to measure the size of the window first to decide how you want to cut this film. My husband just put the film in front of the window to get the approximate sizes. We left around 2” space but figured out later that there is really no need to leave extra 1” space (as per the instruction) if you could cut the film well. Extra 0.5” is good enough if you want to use one film on several windows.2. Be careful if you want to use tape on the film. We tried to use tape to mark the line to cut. But the tape left some residue on the film.3. If you don’t have a long metal ruler but would like to mark the line with a marker or a pen, better to mark on the back of the film. I used an eyebrow pencil to mark so that I could cut a straight line with a scissor. It was labor intensive to remove the line because the front surface is “not flat”. Glad we could trim the part later.4. Make sure your knife is sharp enough so the trimming doesn’t become zig-zag. Be patient and careful when trimming the film so that you don’t damage the wood/frame of your window. (It might be better if you do use a metal ruler next to the knife when trimming.)I was kind of nervous before starting the project because my husband had some bad experiences on the car window tint. This is definitely easier but it indeed took us some time. If you have no experience like me, I would suggest watching some videos on Youtube before you start to work.This film has some thickness to it. Though it looks harmless to the window, we are not sure if the film really leaves no residues after we remove it…. My husband said, “It looks like from the 60’s.”; after dark, he said, “it looks like Christmas time!!” We feel that the film is more beautiful than expected after application.

I saw this product on a TikTok video by Trippydraws and was blown away by how amazing it looked! I immediately jumped onto Amazon (trippydraws gave the name and description of the product) and I was STOKED to see that it was sold on Amazon! I ordered a roll to see if it look as awesome in person as it did in her video and let me tell you I was NOT disappointed. This product was SUPER easy to install, I just used a cup full of water and put a drop of dawn dishsoap into it and sprayed it onto the window (after cleaning it completely) then sprayed it onto the film and used a paper towel to smooth the film onto the window working from the top down (so it’d squish the water out) then used the paper towel to clean up the dripping water. It was flawless and worked so well. I didn’t cut the film and inch larger than the window like the instructions said, because that just doesn’t make sense, and so far I have had NO issues and it’s been up for days. I LOVE the spectrum of color that fill my house and move from room to room as the sun makes it’s journey across the sky.I LOVED this product so much that I ordered two more rolls. If we weren’t in the middle of COVID19 crisis I’d order enough to cover every window in my house! Best purchase I’ve made in a VERY long time!

I have a large window in my bathroom and you can see in from the back yard, not very private. I like the light but needed privacy,sheer curtains were not enough. This product is very easy to install, and I love the rainbows. This is this cheapest rainbow window cling I could find and it exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be doing more windows.

So, we LOVE this film. I’m going to get more to do the rest of our windows. Super easy to apply as long as you clean the window! Soapy water and a credit card or store card will work just fine. You will need a razor blade to trim directly around the window. An actual razor blade not a utility knife. May the force be with you!
